Then Family Swoops In is one of my latest Modern Australiana designs. Featuring either mum or dad magpie looking after their young baby maggie.
These works are very close to my heart as they represent my journey on returning to Australia after living in the UK and missing everything about home.
I enjoyed experimenting with detailed pen drawings combined with watercolour marks and textures, as well as introducing photography of Australian coastal areas, including from my hometown of Coffs Harbour. Layering these elements to create a modern mixed media of graphic design, illustration and photography.
