I think I just met the nicest customer to walk the shores of Coffs Harbour.
.
Visiting from Sydney and wanting to buy his wife some art for her birthday while in transit and support a local artist at the same time – he somehow found me down the laneway even while my sign still isn’t ready 😌 (thanks Google!)
.
After browsing the walls he confidently pointed to one of my original pen drawings which had one of the highest price tags in the gallery, and is also one of my long time personal favourites from 2013, Zebra mum and her baby foal running together 🥰 They went on to be apart of the Escape from the Circus series released later that same year and feature in the finished piece titled, The Camouflaged Escape.
.
This is why we need to promote the arts and our creative community to the rest of the state and the country, city folk enjoy an escape to the coast and supporting their regional neighbours.

Hoping for many more lovely visitors and customers from out of town to come and appreciate the growing awesomeness that Coffs has to offer 🥳🏖🦓 🖼😻

You guys know I’d have the Opening of all Openin

You guys know I’d have the Opening of all Openings for my little space if I could, alas a restricted max of 8 people isn’t quite the same...plus I’m still setting up, waiting on stock and signage.

BUT, I am in there and there‘s things to look at, so I’ll be officially opening the doors of Alykat Creative Gallery & Studio, albeit not quite ready, on Saturday October 3rd (tomorrow) from 10am til 3pm 🥳

Then open 10am til 4pm Tuesday - Saturday’s, so swing by sometime and have a squiz.

Those that aren’t local, here’s how the outside wall turned out. Mr @sulks78’s spray paint interpretation of my piece “Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Lorikeet” - so stoked with the result 👏💖🦜
